Paediatrics: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder defined by a group of behavioural symptoms that include hyperactivity, impulsivity and difficulty in focusing and paying attention.

Symptoms can often be noticed from a young age and become more noticeable when a child begins to go to school but when managed on time can improve over time.

ADHD can also exist with other conditions making it difficult for parents and caregivers to recognise. If not diagnosed and treated timely, children with ADHD can experience persistent symptoms that can be carried through to their teenage years and adulthood.

One Stop Doctors have a host of paediatric services with both Paediatric Consultants, Child Psychologists and other therapists on hand to provide a treatment solution for your child.
